Overview
The SE Booking Pro Coupon Addon adds a complete coupon and discount management system to SE Booking Pro. It allows you to create percentage-based or fixed-amount discounts, control when coupons are available, limit coupons to specific services, and track coupon usage.
The addon integrates with the SE Booking Pro pricing system so discounts are calculated server-side and reflected in the final booking financial details.
Requirements
- SE Booking Pro must be installed and active.
- The SE Booking Pro Coupon Addon is a premium addon and must be purchased before it can be downloaded and activated.
Download the Coupon Addon
After purchasing the addon, log in to your SE Booking Pro customer account:
My Account → Downloads
Download the latest version of the SE Booking Pro Coupon Addon ZIP file.
Install the Coupon Addon
In your WordPress dashboard:
- Go to Plugins → Add New.
- Click Upload Plugin.
- Select the downloaded Coupon Addon ZIP file.
- Click Install Now.
- After installation, click Activate Plugin.
The addon requires SE Booking Pro to be installed and active.
Activate Your License
After activating the plugin, open:
SE Booking Pro → License
In the Installed Addons section, locate the SE Booking Pro Coupon Addon and enter your purchased license key.
Activate the license to enable the addon features and receive future updates.
Coupon Management
Once the addon is active and licensed, a Discounts section is available in the SE Booking Pro administration area.
The Discounts section allows you to create and manage your booking coupons.
Create a Coupon
When creating a coupon, you can configure the following options:
Coupon Period Type
You can choose how long the coupon remains available:
- Date Range – Set a specific start and end date for the coupon.
- Never Expires – Keep the coupon available without an expiration date.
Title
Enter a title to identify the coupon in the administration area.
Coupon Code
Enter a custom coupon code or use the Generate option to create a coupon code automatically.
Discount Amount
Enter the discount value and select the discount type:
- Percentage (%) – Applies a percentage discount to the eligible booking amount.
- Fixed Amount – Applies a fixed monetary discount.
Select Services
Choose where the coupon can be used:
- Global – The coupon can be applied across all services.
- Particular Service – Restrict the coupon to a selected service.
Managing Existing Coupons
The Discounts listing provides tools to manage your existing coupons.
You can search and filter coupons by information such as:
- Coupon status
- Coupon period
- Service scope
The listing also provides pagination, editing, deletion, and coupon usage information.
Coupon Usage Tracking
The addon records coupon usage so administrators can review how coupons are being used.
Usage information includes the coupon’s usage count and usage history.
A coupon is counted as used only after a successful confirmed/paid booking. Coupon previews, failed attempts, abandoned bookings, and similar incomplete actions do not count as successful coupon usage.
Using a Coupon During Booking
When a usable coupon is available, the Coupon Addon displays the coupon field during the booking confirmation step.
The customer can:
- Enter a coupon code.
- Click Apply to validate and apply the coupon.
- Click Remove to remove the applied coupon.
Coupon validation and discount calculation are handled by the server-side pricing system. This ensures that the final booking amount is calculated using the valid coupon information rather than relying only on frontend values.
Discount Calculation
The Coupon Addon applies the discount to the eligible booking amount through the SE Booking Pro pricing system.
For example, if the booking amount is $100.00 and a $10.00 coupon discount is applied:
Booking Amount: $100.00
Coupon Discount: -$10.00
Amount After Discount: $90.00
Coupon and Tax Addon Compatibility
The Coupon Addon is designed to work with the SE Booking Pro Tax Addon.
When both addons are active, the coupon discount is applied before tax calculation.
For example:
Booking Amount: $100.00
Coupon Discount: -$10.00
Taxable Amount: $90.00
10% Tax: $9.00
Final Total: $99.00
This ensures that the tax calculation uses the discounted amount.
Booking Financial Information
When a coupon is successfully applied, the final booking financial information includes the coupon-adjusted pricing.
The final booking amount reflects the server-calculated discount and remains part of the booking’s final financial information.
Going Back From Confirmation
If a customer goes back from the booking confirmation step, the temporary coupon state is cleared so that a previous coupon selection does not incorrectly remain attached to a new booking flow.
License and Updates
The Coupon Addon includes its own license and update management.
A valid active license enables the addon functionality and provides access to future addon updates.
License management is available through:
SE Booking Pro → License → Installed Addons
Future addon versions can be delivered through the WordPress update mechanism using the Coupon Addon’s separate product and license system.
